Students from Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church built color changing USB-powered orbs during summer camp this week. They learned how to program microcontrollers (https://www.arduino.cc/) and wire electrical circuits.
At the end of the course, the budding computer scientists took home color-changing orbs custom configured by computer code they wrote.
After 3 hours of concentration, every participant left with a fully functional orb. The class was comprised of 15 middle school students, all female.
